A Letter from Dave & Maggie
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family, and our desire to become first-time parents! We look forward to providing a loving and compassionate home to your child, that will teach them to walk in faith, the value of family and education, and show them unconditional love. We would love to stay in touch through pictures and letters if you would like.
We met in a photography class during college while Dave was obtaining a degree in Information Systems and Maggie was obtaining a degree in Biology. We dated for five years before getting married and now have been married for over six years. We enjoy taking pictures, traveling, biking, hiking, and many other activities together. Dave has a career working as a systems analyst, and Maggie has been a stay at home mom for the last two years.
Our hope to have children has been complicated due to infertility. Through our pursuit to have children, we believe God has led us down the path to start a family through adoption.
Dave is a caring and sacrificial spouse. He is up early every morning heading to work to provide for us. He reminds me to lighten up, laugh, and have fun when I am being too serious. Dave has a passion for working with computers and serving others in whatever capacity he can, whether it is fixing their computer problem or taking groceries to his family so that they don’t have to go out. He also has a passion for football, and can be found watching football most Saturdays and Sundays during the fall. When I see Dave interacting with our nieces and nephews, I see a caring and compassionate man that will do anything for his family, even putting their needs over his own. I know these qualities will make Dave a great father.
Maggie can easily be described as sweet, loving, and compassionate. These are just some of the qualities that led me to notice and fall in love with her. She has taught me to rely on our faith in God for all things, and she displays her faith through her willingness to serve others. Maggie enjoys spending time with friends and family, and values the impact of her family in her life. When we’re not spending time together, Maggie enjoys reading and knitting. She has always had a desire to have children of her own, and will apply all these qualities to be a caring and loving mother.
We both have grown up in Pennsylvania. Maggie it the oldest of three children, having a younger brother and sister. Dave is the youngest of two children, having an older brother. We were both born and raised in Christian homes that taught the importance of faith, and together we look forward to passing these values to our children.
Family get-togethers are quite common among both our families, including sharing meals, vacations, birthdays, and holidays. One of our holiday traditions is to be with Maggie’s family on Christmas Eve, sharing a seafood dinner and then attending an evening service at church. Both of our families look forward to creating memories and sharing love with your child as much as we do!
We live in a three bedroom two story home, located in a small community with room to run and ride bikes. There are schools and playgrounds within walking distance of our neighborhood. Our home is only a few minutes from a ski resort, so in the winter we often take day trips to go snowboarding, and in the summer a nearby state park allows us to have lots of opportunity to hike.
Both of our families live nearby, and we frequently enjoy having friends and family gather at our home. We especially enjoy gathering in our basement home theater for movie nights with popcorn and cozy blankets.
Living in Pennsylvania we are a short drive from the mountains or the beach, and we enjoy vacations in both places.
We promise to accept, love, and cherish your child, and provide a stable home environment where they can learn and grow in mind and faith. We will laugh, take adventures together, pray together, and be there for each other. We are open to providing updates through letters and photos. We would also be open to the possibility of visits once per year.
“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:7 NLT

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We enjoy traveling when we’re able. From destinations in New England, the Adirondacks of New York, landmarks in Washington DC, and a relaxing time spent at the beach in New Jersey.
Our Christian faith is a large part of our lives. We strive to put Christ at the center of our relationship, and we are actively involved in church. We especially enjoy helping with our church's Vacation Bible School, teaching children lessons from the Bible.
Our Musical Interest
I (Maggie) enjoy singing and listening to music. I can often be found singing around the house, in the church choir, and on the praise and worship team. Dave on the other hand mostly enjoys listening to music.
Our home is a two story single-family home with a finished basement. The basement has a movie theater with a large screen, perfect for watching movies with family and friends while enjoying a bowl of popcorn. There are three bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, and a large cozy living area to spend time reading, playing games, and socializing. We also have a large deck where we spend time grilling and enjoying meals outdoors.
We live in the state of Pennsylvania
We live in the state of Pennsylvania, which provides a wide variety of travel opportunities, outdoor activities, and rich cultural experiences. With big city experiences in Philadelphia and Pittsburg, to outdoor adventures in the Pocono mountains, there’s always something fun and exciting to do. Traveling to other nearby attractions is only a few hours away, whether you’re looking to explore New York City, Baltimore, Washington DC, the Jersey Shore, and more.
Our neighborhood is in a rural environment of about 50 homes. We have sidewalks for family walks, and a common area filled with many trees and a large grass field with room to run and play. You’ll also find plenty of wildlife roaming around, including squirrels, rabbits, deer, and an occasional fox. We’re in walking distance of schools and playgrounds, and we are a short drive from few shopping malls and many restaurants. For some outdoor fun, there’s a nearby ski resort and state park, with plenty of hiking trails and a large lake.
